Hi Reader:
It's the last week of February. How are those New Year's resolutions holding up?
If you're like most people, you haven't thought about your resolutions, in oh say, six weeks. Now you're staring at the screen wondering whether you should start again or just table them until December.
My take? Stay in the game. Put another quarter in the jukebox, baby. Strategy isn't a binary state. Success or failure. It's about showing up, even when things are hard or especially when the future looks a little murky.
Monica

🟢 Want to Get Promoted? Hop on the AI Bandwagon. Or Else — TechRadar (via Financial Times) is reporting that Accenture has established AI usage as a new benchmark for employee promotions. Speaking of (self) promotion, Accenture CEO Julia Sweet has rolled out a targeted media campaign that has resulted in her name appearing frequently in headlines of late. So read the article, but with a grain of salt. [TechRadar]
🟠 If AI Makes Human Labor Obsolete, Who Decides Who Gets to Eat? Over at The Guardian, writer Eduardo Porter poses an incredibly insightful take on what happens alongside the supposed "destruction of all human jobs." No labor, no taxes. No taxes? How does the government get funded? And who determines which humans get access to food. "Even if AI generates enormous economic prosperity, its distribution will remain a political challenge. This juncture calls for a serious, open debate about how the fruits of this prosperity will be apportioned among humanity." [The Guardian]
